Tumble Recovery Records Set to Release 5th CD

Mark Ewing has been a bit secretive on the songs, but the bunker has been blasting them out, so perhaps a few saboteurs have heard stuff. Ewing is in the final process of quality control, making sure the right mix is on the CD. No release date is set, but reporters from many major music magazines have been on hand, making cell phone calls and typing up reports on lap tops.

Police, Robert Plant Trade announced

Mark Ewing of Tumble Recovery has agreed to submit a copy of the Robert Plant Box set to Tony Signore of Dog in exchange for The Police's Box Set. No other details were announced.

Dear Tumble Recovery:

I am currently looking to sign with a label. I confess I've been out of the recording business for quite a while, and really am looking forward to cutting a new cassette.

Personal information: Current occupation involves chemicals. My new home is in Myanmar. My current age is NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS.

I have previously worked with Dino-Saur And The Pterydactyls, The Halliburton Monks, Blood Monkey, and Great Bamboozle. Though, tragically and co-incidentally, a key member of each group died under mysterious circumstances shortly after I joined them, I felt I could really make a killing as a solo artist.

You may have read about the Saran-wrap fiasco. Though the court system acquitted me of any connection, I still feel that I need to explain a little of the accident from my point of view. First: if there had been a functioning handle on the fire extinguisher, the cat probably would have only lost some of it's stomach fur. Second: I had no knowledge of the barbed wire around the antelope's back legs being hooked up to an electrical circuit. Third: The drowning, through probably caused by having the 50-gallon aquarium being dumped over his head, was possibly the fault of the attending EMTs. Fourth: At least civilian casualties were kept at a minimum. Fifth: Finally, and this is the important point, If I had not shot the Owl with the bazooka, then there would not have been enough light from the resulting flames to find and rescue the others.

As to the main bodies of work, I submit the following:

Played drums on the song "Hash, Hash, Re-Hashed", as well as on the re-mix.
Wrote the lyrics, and was main singer for "Michigan Meat"
Wrote, composed, and distributed the "Goth Is Dead" CD, before realizing that nothing had been recorded, and that CDs had not yet been invented.
Wrote, composed, produced, sang, and recorded the "LALONDE LIVE" release. Though sales were weak, there are rumors that a promotional copy may be floating around.
Wrote, composed, produced, sang, and recorded the "GIVE ME THE BUDDAH" release. Sales were much more brisk, and copy of the promotional copy does indeed exist.
Had a cameo in the long-lost production of "BEACHWORLD", which your president, Mr. Ewing, filmed.

Recent activity has been slow to say the least. I did spend some time with a girl who volunteered to play the Recorder on my next production. Matter of fact, she told me of this one time she was at band camp and...uh...well, let's just say I haven't done much in the past 27 years.

During the past six months, I've taken back up the pen and wrote several new releases. Some are merely instrumental in nature, due to the fact I couldn't think of any lyrics, but that didn't stop me. I wrote them anyways. That's the way you bloody Masons do it! You wouldn't let me join, you black-balling Bastards! Why...I Wouldn't become a Mason now if you went down on your lousy stinking knees and begged me!

But I digress. I'm including a demo record (45rpm, I realize that's a lot slower than 78rpm, but the quality seems better, as long as you have a good needle). Tentative title is "CALL ME WHAT YOU WILL"

Mark Ewing has said he would like to hear "The Halibut came C.O.D." "I will release that song as his first single, even tho I have never heard it", said Mark Ewing. SandWing Debut: Shabby Cottage

Sandy Ewing has announced an upstart lame recording label. Sandwing productions has produced an album. The logo is a wing over some sand crystals. It has no title, no songs are listed, it is just a CD with songs on it. This CD has been sent back to Sandwing studios to 'finish the product.' the rumor has it that Beck will be on the CD. Rolling Stone magazine will probably pan it. Stay tuned.

The Bunker: Where the magic happens

A lot of you people don't know what 'The Bunker' is. Let me tell you. This is the recording studio that was built in Mark Ewing's basement where almost all of the tracks are laid down for Tumble Recovery Records. It is very complicated to most of you, but there is a computer down there, also a whole stereo system. We have 2 sets of speakers . One set is in 'the Bunker', the other is outside on an outdoor deck for blasting songs out to experiment how they would sound in the open air such as outdoor stadiums and other venues. The Bunker has a Memorez CD and DVD Label Maker kit. It made it so CDs couldn't be played, so we scraped it. The Bunker has an Inport Deluxe, made by Xitel. We can't figure out how to use it though. There is a TV, clock, lamp, and other electrical devices. There are cassettes, CDs, DVDs, records down there. Also an extensive collection of pens and pencils. When you buy a CD made by Tumble Recovery Records, rest easy, for you know it was recorded and mixed in The Bunker.

Recorded in the Bunker December of 07. Released to coincide with Bert Blyleven getting voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. There was going to be free CDs, free subsandwiches for EVERYONE. But!! Blyleven was not voted in. There was no party. There were no album sales. Mark Ewing was pissed off. Ewing had painstakingly searched hard for artists he didn't know very well. After the embarrassment of the whole marketing ploy died down, Tony and Sandy both found it listenable, which was a small victory at Tumble Recovery Records.

Rolling Stone on BE Home Blyleven: "Ewing has made a very silly record here. Ewing is the kind of industry mogul who thinks it's a good idea to have the Mormon Tabernacle Choir cover hard rock songs. Do not buy this record"

Trivia: Mark was torn on several songs: He pulled off "Snakes on a Plane" fearing it would pigeon hole the album as 'campy like his other stuff'..."Knockers" by the Touch was almost cut for the same reason, but it wasn't and became a surprise hit...also cut out was Paul Simon's "Graceland", one of Ewing's favorite songs, but it would have been too familiar with the masses. Tony really liked 'Castanets"...who would have thunk....Ewing could not get TBone Burnett to help produce the record, but his brother Sirloin Burnett was on hand and helped push all those toggle switches around. Ewing now denies that Burnett worked on the record.
